Beauty Favs

Since it's winter (and apparently my skin thinks I'm 90 yrs old), I have had to adjust my makeup and skin care routine.  Since my last post about my favs....I think everything I use is different.

I have seriously sensitive skin.
No. Joke.
I have had eczema since I was born and it's way worse when it's cold.
Also, my sensitivity to things has gotten much worse the last couple years.
I had been having this problem have getting eczema under my eyes and on
my eye lids and I had been switching products trying to figure out what it was...

I didn't think it could be the stuff I so blindly used thinking it was
actually pure... "purity" by philosophy...

BUT IT WAS...
GASP

So note to all people with sensitive skin, this may not work for you. Also found out their body
wash has been causing the eczema on my legs.

Fantastic.

So, here's my current beauty favs!!

Find (some) of the original picture links here. Others, I couldn't find
so if you do let me know
1. Garnier sleek and shine strong hold (#4) hairspray.  Really, the hold is light.  So don't buy it like I did thinking it's gonna nicely hold it all day.  I love it because it smells good, gives a light hold, doesn't make your hair look like concrete, and makes my hair shiny unlike other hairsprays I've tried.
2. Tresemme dry shampoo for oily/straight hair.  Again, I don't use this for what it says on the bottle.  I bought it for that purpose and didn't like it.  Now what I use it for is volume.  I replaced my old volumizer with this.  People complain that it changes your hair color, which is true until you rub it in (uhhh, read the directions?).  It holds a tease like nobodies business and that's why I love it.
3. Revlon Colorburst lipstick in Soft Nude. BEST. LIPSTICK. EVER.  I put it with my 2 dollar pink Wet and Wild lipstick and any gloss I have and it's perfect.  Search no more for the most versatile nude...You found it right here!  I'm not a huge MAC user, but I know alot of people compare it to a very popular MAC color.
4. Aveeno Ultra-Calming cleanser.  Another one of those products that now that I've found it, I can't live without it.  It literally gets ALL of my makeup off.  Eye makeup, waterproof mascara, everything...my face has never been clearer and it's not dry or red. Anyone with sensitive skin or dry skin should try this.
5. A very light weight foundation that immediately makes your face look brighter.  What I love about it is that its buildable, covers my blemishes, and doesn't make you sparkle in the sun (hello edward cullen??).  I switched to this from revlon colorstay and it's no where near as thick and it doesn't last as long.  But it works for me and it doesn't make my face look like a vanilla cake. Thank god.
6. Lancome Juicy Tubes...All of them.  I'm not sure what colors I've been using. One very light pink and another that is more red.  Both are great. Aren't sticky. Last. Don't rub off. Don't gunk up. Great, classic product.

Bridal Shower

Here it is, my dream bridal shower. Ahhh, it's just fantastic.
As it turns out, I'm having two bridal showers.  One thrown by my aunts, the other thrown
by my FMIL Gina. Craig and I both have large families, and I would like to be able to
have fun and enjoy the people who come to celebrate our marriage.  So this
seems to be the best way to do it. Gina wants my opinion and ideas on what I want
so this is what I'm going to show her. It's my first attempt at an "inspiration board" on
this blog and I'm prettttty sure there must be an easier way. Cause I was about to freak out...

Anyways, here's my dream shower..
You can find the links to the original pictures here

I am just so excited that all the festivities are starting!!  After four years of dating and almost a year of being engaged, I can't wait to get this wedding shit on the road :)

A new blog series

Hi!

Ok, so here goes one more shot at consistent blogging...

So I made it through my second semester of nursing school!!
It was a stressfull nightmare beautiful experience. BUT, the experience really tests you and I'm already a different person than who I was when I went it.

Since I'm getting married in 5 months (ahhhhhhhhh!!), I've started working on my health and weight. In this process, I've decided to try the medifast program.  Now, I'm only 21 (almost 22), but I have serious allergies to just about everything you can think of.  I signed up for the gluten free program since I'm allergic to wheat and am hoping to not only gain weight loss, but a healthier digestive system.

Also, it's wedding DIY season. So I'll be doing lots of fun wedding stuff which I also plan on blogging about again. I am sooo excited.

Finally, I will blog all about the honeymoon and travel tips, ect...This is my first time flying so ANY tips and tricks would be awesome.

See you all again tomorrow!
